Where and How to Vote

The 2014 Hamilton municipal election will be on Monday, October 27th. There will also be several advance polls.

Please exercise your right to vote! You owe it to yourself to make your voice heard.

The first thing you should do is make sure that you’re on the voter’s list, which you can check here: http://vote2014.hamilton.ca/OnVoterList.aspx

If you are not able to vote on Election Day, you can vote at one of a number of advance polls.

Thursday October 9th 10 am to 5 pm
Saturday October 11th 10 am to 5 pm
Tuesday October 14th 10 am to 7 pm
Thursday October 16th 10 am to 7 pm
Saturday October 18th 10 am to 5 pm

On election day, identification will be asked for at each of the polls. A list of acceptable identification is listed here: http://www.hamilton.ca/CityDepartments/CorporateServices/Clerks/MunicipalElection/tf.htm

If you do not have the prescribed identification you may complete a Declaration of Identity at the poll which will allow you to vote.

If you are not on the Voters’ List you will need to complete an Application to Amend the Voters’ List. These applications will be available at each poll and take only a few minutes to complete.In the meantime, I strongly encourage you to get informed about the issues that affect you, your community and your City.
